I like the aqua/cream coral but I would paint the chairs black with that fabric. Depends on what room you are using them in too I guess.

Mmmmmm, if you paint the chairs black I think the zebra print would look great. Are these chairs for the dining room? I guess it would depend on what kind of mood and what your wall color is in the particular room you're putting these chairs in. The aqua/cream coral covering is nice and calming while the zebra print would be dramatic.

I love the aqua/cream material!! I think either colour paint on the chairs would work.

Whatever you decide I'd love the see the end result.

You're right, redhot! That's what makes this so much fun. The chairs were cheap, and I can recover and paint myself, so I can always re-do them again in a year or two!

Can you strip the chairs instead? A light colored wood with the Aqua/cream coral fabric would be my vote.

You know...I know how to strip, Schaianne...Ha! That could work! I might try a spot on the back to see how light the wood is. It could be a dark mahogany, but I could also do a light stain/wash to lighten. I'll see how it works! The aqua coral fabric seems to be a favorite so far!

I like the zebra!... if you wanted to get especially out of control, you could paint the chairs a red lacquer. I'm not totally sure what your personal style is, so I could be way off!

I kind of like the chairs the way they are.
